Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre was pleased to receive Department of Education Strategic Partnerships Program funding. This grants partnership funds not‑for‑profit organisations to provide programs across two categories: student learning and teacher professional development.
Working in partnership with Federation College, Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre will provide additional employment and learning support to fifty Year 11 students over the next 2 years. Students will further develop their academic and work-related skills, knowledge and confidence as they recieve support from a Jobs Victoria Work & Learning Centre Advisor and training from local industry specialist. This practical training will be tailored to align with the Year 11 vocational major units being undertaken by the students.
